PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY

Adam Stanley is a strategic advisor to nonprofits, real estate professional, Board Director, and former CIO/CDO/CTO/CPO. He is passionate about finding and connecting great people and helping them do amazing things. Known for building teams and driving change within industries and companies at inflection points, Adam has a multifaceted career that keeps him active and engaged.

He co-leads the Adam Timothy Group, a real estate agency brokered by RA Compass, advising buyers, sellers, and landlords. The Adam Timothy Group focuses on providing exceptional service and expert guidance to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of the real estate market while also building community and making connections. Adam also manages AT Real Estate Group LLC, including a diverse portfolio of investment properties in North Carolina, Texas, and Mexico.

In addition to his real estate work, Adam serves as an Independent Director on the boards of GATX Corporation, Church Mutual Insurance Company, and UBS Trumbull Property Fund. Previously, he was the Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Cushman & Wakefield and held similar roles at Aon Corporation and Aviva plc.

Post retiring from Cushman, Adam joined the fight for quality and equity in education by becoming the first Chief Experience Officer of Teach For America. In this role, he transformed significant aspects of the TFA experience from recruiting corps members to engaging with alumni and enhancing teacher development. He now continues to provide pro bono advisory services to TFA and other nonprofit and social good companies.

Adam is dedicated to sharing life lessons, teaching as a professor of practice at Washington University and on the faculty of the Stonier Graduate School of the American Bankers Association. He also speaks at multiple organizations throughout the year on topics of leadership, diversity, and authentic relationships.

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business from Washington University, an MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Corporate Director Certificate from Harvard Business School. Adam thrives during periods of inflection points, helping individuals and companies navigate change to chart the strongest course possible.

Adam lives in Austin, Texas, with his husband Timothy and their dog Aaliyah, an amazing mini goldendoodle with thousands of followers on Instagram.
