Almost near the end of the month. Fundraising target surpassed but still time for you to help out.

Almost near the end of the month. Xhaka Stache looks kind of like a curtain.

I reached my $2010 fundraising target well before the end of the month. 30 of you gave in the first half of the month and I am up to 41 individual donors thus far. THANK YOU. You rock!! If you have not given, please do so now. Even just a token.

New goal: 60 donors of at least $10 by the end of the month and I will add $5 per donor.

This is for Karl

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Join me for a great cause http://mobro.co/adamlstanleyIn 2010, I lost my stepfather, Karl Miller, to prostate cancer. It was hard to see such an active, spirited sports fanatic taken by the awful disease. Through the end, Daddy Karl kept an amazingly positive spirit. He never complained. He worried about us!  As the Cubs made the World Series for the first time, I thought about DK and how excited he would have been. He was a Chicago guy through and through. And he loved all sports. He would have been excited as all get out by the Cubbies making it all the way. I made a pledge (view it here) that if the Cubs won, I would do two things:

  1. Become a Mo Bro, participating in Movember for the first time.
  2. Give up alcohol for the rest of the month.

I call it Movember Detox Month. And it is painful for me (especially the drinking), but nowhere near as painful as losing someone you love to Prostate Cancer, or going through it yourself, as so many men do. Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men worldwide. The Movember Foundation is working to halve the number of deaths from prostate cancer by 2030, and I want to help them get there.

I do this for DK. Sorry he missed the Cubs win, but knowing he is smiling big and wide.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Be Well. Lead On.

It’s not about us. It’s about them.

I’ve said this so many times it’s getting old, but some people just don’t seem to listen—and maybe, if I’m honest, I don’t always take my own advice either. Here it is: it really doesn’t matter what you said, how you said it, or what you intended. What matters, if you truly care about the other person, is how they felt.
