Exploring Ancient Wonders
Journey through Egypt
No place has fascinated me in my travels more than Egypt. I have only been once, and that was in April of 2001. One might say that is before the world changed. I met amazing people, including Sameer, our tour guide throughout Luxor. He was the perfect host, knowing exactly how long we would want to stay at each major site. We could have spent another month in Luxor alone, but alas only had 10 days for our entire holiday. Sameer helped us maximize that time. About a week after the terrible attacks happened on September 11, we received a phone call in Chicago from Sameer. He wanted to know if we were OK as he knew we spent most of our time in New York, where I worked at the time. He was an amazingly gracious man and part of fond memories.
The below photos are but a few of the hundreds we took, back before digital cameras and mobile phones that took great photos!! The rest are in my memories and in … gasp … actual photo albums.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_raw_html]
